ORANGE DAY - Commemoration of United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
NRC-NCD and the Believers Medical College Students’ Union, SAPTHA, jointly commemorated the
United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 th November,
2025. Students wore orange T-shirts and caps symbolizing the campaign theme and took photographs
conveying support for the cause. These digital materials were shared across social media platforms to
spread awareness. As part of the campaign content, visuals from the 2015 commemoration were also
included, showcasing a larger event held in Trivandrum that featured a walkathon, balloon release, and a
commemorative function at Government College for Women in the presence of esteemed dignitaries. The
activity strengthened public awareness on the issue of digital abuse against women and showcased the
institution’s commitment to gender-based violence prevention. The digital campaign helped reach a wider
audience and reinforced continuity of advocacy through the inclusion of past initiatives.
